From June 1, 2019 in accordance with the Decision of the Cabinet of Ministers No. (7) 2018, the National Economic Register will be published in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), which will contain Basic Company Details of all entities registered in UAE.
This innovation is based on one of the FATF 40 Recommendations which states that company formation details of all entities in a jurisdiction should be publicly available. The UAE Cabinet has empowered the Ministry of the Economy to facilitate this on behalf of the UAE.
All companies, whether onshore, offshore, on the mainland or in free-zones are required to provide the following information which will be publicly available:
- Company name
- Registration number
- Date of Incorporation
- Registered Office Address
- Company Status & Date
- Activity
